Guru deva (1856 - 1928) was a great sage and social reformer of India who used to teach Sanskrit and Ayurveda . poetic proficiency, openness to the views of others, non-violent philosophy and most importantly his unrelenting resolve to set aright social wrongs. Guru was instrumental in setting the spiritual foundations for social reform in the current State of Kerala Nanu Asan became a Sanskrit Scholar and turned saint. Popularly called Sree Narayan Guru. He preached brotherhood for all including untouchables. One caste, one religion, one god for all man, this was a dream of Sree Narayana Guru, the sage, prophet and social reformer who strived to bring a change in the social weave of the country. The saint-reformer, he gave the watchwords :"one cast one religion one god for mankind"
